Nominating Committee
General Purpose of Nominating Committee:
To annually provide the State Board with qualified options for new Directors and Officers for the upcoming fiscal year, and, as needed due to resignations and reassignments.
Members:
Members of this committee will include a Chair (IMBA President), and members of the Executive Committee and the Past President of IMBA.
General Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Nominating Committee Chair to work pro-actively with IMBA ED to set up a schedule of meetings/calls, and, either in person, via call, or written report, provide details of financial activities/position as warranted
- Working with ED, develop a list of criteria for board candidates as to; experience, area of expertise, geography and demographics
- No later than December of each year, develop a list of candidates for board positions for discussion and present to the board at the January meeting
- Upon discussion and approval ofthe board in January, contact candidates to discuss expectations and responsibilities of position and determine interest and availability
Goals:
- Provide qualified candidates to the State Board to fill future position needs
- No later than March 31st of each year, have a full slate of candidates approved by the board and ready to be voted upon by association members at the state convention in June
